COOKS

 

Little Piggy Catering is hiring FT permanent, PT and casual on call, cooks. The positions involve preparing food for office catering, events, buffet and reception style stand up events, as well as going onsite to events. Onsite work may include BBQ, buffets, family style and plated dinners. The Little Piggy kitchen abounds with natural light, ample space and happy people. 

 

A drivers license is preferred. Similarly, you must be presentable and courteous with customers. 

 

Shifts are daytime and evenings (evening shifts tend to finish by 8-9pm.) We operate 7 days a week. 

 

Qualifications: 

-Drivers License preferred

-Professional kitchen experience is a must 

-Culinary education is an asset 

-Comfort with grilling and carveries is an asset

-Must be comfortable taking responsibility for your work, working with limited supervision. 

-Must be able to work with, and without, formal recipes. 

-Physical fitness appropriate for kitchen and offsite catering work (extended periods of standing, lifting up to 50lbs etc...).

Wage $18-25, subject to experience and position applied for, extended health and dental after 3 months for FT and 3/4 time employees

 

KITCHEN HELPER / DELIVERY PERSON

 

We are hiring a kitchen helper/delivery driver. The positions involve delivering food for office catering, events, etc... As well assisting with general kitchen duties, food prep, packaging, cleaning etc... Training opportunities available for people wishing to advance their skills. The Little Piggy kitchen abounds with natural light, ample space and happy people.

A drivers license is required. Similarly, you must be presentable and courteous with customers. Daytime, early evening shifts - Monday to Friday.

 

Qualifications:

  • Drivers License

  • Food service experience is an asset, but an eagerness to learn will be considered too

  • Must be comfortable taking responsibility for your work, working with limited supervision.

  • Appropriate level of physical fitness for a kitchen environment (lifting up to 50lbs, standing for prolonged periods of time)
