Hospitality Management Assistant

Little Piggy Catering is hiring a Hospitality Management Assistant. This is a service and office position. 

Duties are mainly assisting the GM with:
Making and returning phone call
Assisting with event sales and planning
Assisting with administration and human resources
Logistics coordination 
Coordinating equipment and supplies
Procurement and ordering (this may include physically going shopping)

As well as, 
Supervising junior staff
Serving and coordinating service at offsite events
Assisting with deliveries and pick ups

Qualifications:
2+ experience in a hospitality / event management position or similar 
Formal post secondary education is preferred, particularly in hospitality or business- recent hospitality management grads are encouraged to apply
Experience as a server, particularly in a catering or hotel environment in preferred
Drivers license is mandatory
Computer and Writing Skills
Vehicle an asset, but not required (mileage provided).
Ability to work independently and with limited supervision

Compensation:Compensation:
$40 000 - $42 000 / yr (mileage, OT compensated + scheduled bonuses, other compensation as negotiated)

SUMMER SEASON BANQUET SERVERS

Service experience required. SIR or eligibility.  Drivers' License an asset. 

$21-23 / hr + seasonal bonus 

Must be available weekends in July and August and preferably May-September. 

FT Permanent Cook

Little Piggy Catering is hiring a FT permanent catering cooks to assist with day to day and special event catering.

Shifts will be in the kitchen and onsite at events. Work is mainly daytime. Some evening availability is required. Most evening shifts end by 9pm. Our kitchen operates 7 days a week.

Required Skills and Abilities:

-Drivers License 
-Presentable appearance and demeanour (cooks must work in front of, and interact with the public) 
-Recent professional experience and/or training in a culinary environment/kitchen. 
-Commitment to food safety and formal FoodSafe certification 
-Physically fit - Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs, frequent walking and standing for long periods 
-Ability to work indoors and outdoors 
-Flexible availability, including weekends and evening
