Weddings and Large Events

We are booking winter 2016 and 2017 large events now. Please get in touch with your event details and we'll build you a sample menu and estimate.

Planning a winter or spring wedding? We offer a 10% discount for eligible, off-season weddings (Nov & Jan - April, 5% in May and October -  food portion of event only, minimum $1000 sale. Subject to availability and can not be combined with any other offers).

 

Weddings, Ceremonies and Large Events

Little Piggy offers modern events for people who care about food. We design wedding menus that embrace the style and tastes of our clients, assisting them in making choices that are not only delicious, but also conscientious.

We strive to incorporate principals of sustainable farming and local agriculture into all of our menus. In addition to using local fruits and vegetables, we purchase Ocean Wise seafood, hormone and antibiotic free meats, as well as factory-free poultry. Similarly, we use careful planning to ensure minimal food and packaging waste.

We cook using scratch methods and avoid processed and imported products, where alternatives are available.

 

Menus

Please get in touch for a sample menu. Let us know if you have any important culinary preferences or dietary consideration, how many guests you're expecting, the venue (if you know) and the date so we can check availability.
Menus usually range from $28-$70 per person

Service Styles

As service needs vary from event to event, based on the venue, the complexity of the menu and the itinerary of the event, service costs are estimated seperatly from menu cost. Servers are billed at $29/hr and must be booked for a minimum of three hours, not including travel time to the event.

Buffet Service: Guests serve themselves from a central buffet table. Buffets require 1 server for every 40-50 guests. Buffets can be offered in practically all venues.

Plated Service: Plated service is similar to what you might expect in a restaurant, with servers bringing food to your table. Plated dinner meal selections are pre-ordered. Plated menus require one server for every 10-15 guests. Plated menus require venues with kitchen facilities and ample space.

Family style service merges buffet and plated to create a social, while sophisticated service,. Guests remain seated and large ‘family’ style platters are delivered to the table and shared among guests—usually about 8 guests per platter.  Depending on the complexity of your event you can expect to require one server for approximately 15-20 guests. Family service is not available in all venues and maximum guest numbers apply - usually around 50 people in private homes and 80 people in public venues with kitchen facilities.


Bar and Sommelier Service

Bar and Sommelier service can be arranged through The Little Piggy.

If you would like assistance selecting beverages to be served with your menu, a sommelier is available to assist you with selection.

If you would like staff to serve beverages at your wedding, either at a bar or table side, bar staff can be hired.


Equipment Rentals

Tables, chairs, linens, glassware and table settings are not included in catering prices. Depending on your menu and style of service you may require specific rentals.

If you choose to procure rentals yourself, we will indicate our minimum requirements. Alternately, we can organize rentals on your behalf—and a service fee will be applied.

We are happy to recommend one of our preferred event planners, if you require this service

Menu 'Tastings'

Menu tastings are only available for some menus and for very large events. Not all items are available for tasting. A menu tasting is designed to refine your menu choices, if needed. A fee and/or event deposit is required. Menu tastings are not available during peak periods.

All I can say is wow. Your husband and his team were absolutely fantastic
on Saturday night!! Not only was the food outstanding (I had SO many
compliments on it!) but as you obviously heard, Patty put together a
gorgeous wedding cake on the fly, out of nowhere, using only the
ingredients he could get his hands on, and everyone was blown away. I was
so impressed, I went and grabbed the photographer and asked her to please
capture some of the magic, so I will definitely be sending you those
photos, when I get my hands on them! For now, I think I better get some

Thank you so much for a memorable meal!  I’ve been receiving nothing but rave reviews about the food and many are emailing and asking for your name which I’ve happily passed on.  And I want to thank Sarah for being the wonderful, reassuring voice on the other end of the phone.  The staff who served were professional and considerate.  I will recommend Little Piggy to anyone looking for a caterer.  The only suggestion that some guests made was that the courses could’ve been served a little faster, but I guess you can’t rush great food!

The dust has finally settled around here after the non-stop family events since the wedding!
We would like to thank you for your wonderful service and of course the excellent food!
Everyone loved the BBQ and the cakes were a hit!  I have a few photos that my relatives took of the set up and the cake that I would like to forward to you once I receive them.
